  • Overview and Responsibilities

    This position is responsible for providing screen credits and clearances support to Paramount Television by timely and efficiently preparing and administering television screen credits and guild arbitrations, handling script clearance and product integration agreements, reviewing cuts for clearance issues, and advising various departments on credit and clearance matters and procedures. 

    Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

    * Preparing and confirming screen credits (including determining any underlying source material attribution), submitting notices of tentative writing credits to WGA, preparing guild arbitrations and acquiring guild waivers

    * Reviewing script research reports and studio/network cuts, handling product integration/placement agreements, and negotiating and obtaining material releases, clip reuse agreements, and stock footage license agreements

    * Interfacing with Business Affairs, Creative Affairs, Legal, Casting Administration, Production Personnel (Writers, Line Producer, Wardrobe, Art Department, Props), Standards & Practices, Casting, Music, Production, Finance and Labor and advising regarding compliance with all clearance and credit procedures

    Basic Qualifications

    * Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience at a major television studio

    * BA/BS Degree (strongly preferred) or equivalent work experience

    * Extensive experience preparing screen credits and handling clearances for television programs (traditional and digital platforms)

    Additional Qualifications

    * Thorough knowledge of guild credit determination rules and procedures

    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    * Professional and organized

    * Exemplary drafting skills

    * Ability to manage and prioritize a heavy workload while maintaining keen attention to detail
