  • Overview and Responsibilities

    This position develops Value-Added-Materials to be included on the Blu-ray Disc and EST (Electronic Sell-Thru) releases of Paramount movies and TV series. Paramount believes that VAM and Product experience are critical to grow its digital business and improve overall conversion ratios by making its product better, more unique, and by providing a real “reason to own” that can be advertised to consumers. 

    Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

    • Manages conception and execution, budgets, timeline, vendors, talent relationship
    • Develops various types of VAM, including behind-the-scene/making-of, narrative extensions, curation of unseen film assets, enhancement of repeat viewing
    • Works on the product experience, including menus, navigation, redemption, platform-specific experience, visibility of VAM before purchase
    • Steps: ideation, concept generation, shoots, editing, approvals
    • Works on continuous improvements by benchmarking competition, reworking priorities, revamping process & timeline, reviewing vendors and necessary budgets
    • Keeps VAM investment under control, evaluates against other marketing options on a title-by-title basis
    • Manages 2 direct reports
    • Works very closely with Theatrical Content team, the rest of the Home Media marketing team including Brand, other internal department involved in the consumer experience (product fulfillment, authoring) as well as platforms/retailers when required
    • Ensures that the consumer experience (from disc insertion / digital purchase) is satisfying including menus/navigation, quality and variety of content

    Basic Qualifications

    • 10+ years experience developing AV content for home entertainment, theatrical or related field
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
    • Bachelor’s degree strongly desired OR equivalent experience

    • Able to always stay focused on the consumer experience and marketability of the content developed
    • Able to manage a budget and a timeline
    • Able to interface with talent/filmmakers and senior management
    • Able to function with marketing peers, others in division and company
