  • Overview and Responsibilities

    The Director, Production Finance is responsible for the creation and over-sight of production budgets and other activities as they relate to television projects produced at Paramount Television.

    • Prepare TV budgets including Series, MOW, Mini Series
    • Track rates, fringes & taxes associated with domestic and international shooting locations
    • Work with upper management on creating writers room budgets and ATL payment schedules
    • Understand all guild payrolls
    • Liaise with third party producers creating production plans
    • Participate in preparation of annual production spend forecast
    • Prepare and track TV incentive applications
    • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of both domestic and international TV tax credits and incentives, and liaise with 3rd party auditors to facilitate tax credit filings
    • Attend and participate in weekly staff production meetings
    • Contribute to the preparation of weekly production status reports for submission to senior management
    • Manage budget priority chart consolidating the status of all PTV budgets

    Basic Qualifications

    • 7+ years’ experience in finance with prior production accounting experience
    • Extensive experience using Movie Magic Budgeting
    • Understanding of the Television budgeting process and in-depth knowledge of the workflow and procedures involved in TV production
    • Thorough knowledge of collective bargaining agreements is required to ensure the accuracy of payments made to production personnel
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
