Overview and Responsibilities

This position manage all aspects of events including developing events, guest lists, budgets logistics and printed materials.  Oversee venue selection, identify vendors and negotiate contracts.  Manage an assistant, Director and coordinator

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

  • Manages involvement of staff, vendors and executives in planning and implementing major events including but not limited to premieres, promotional events, internal Paramount events, etc
  • Arranges all event logistics such as date, venue, guest lists, vendor management, etc
  • Creates and follows detailed budgets
  • Trains and schedules all event staff and vendors
  • Manages the production of all invitations, tickets, signage, and necessary printed materials
  • Works with the publicity department to distribute appropriate press releases
  • Works with executive offices, film makers, and film talent to create accurate guest list databases
  • Monitors current trends within the entertainment industry / special events field
  • Works with all vendors to effectively communicate accurate deliverables
  • Development Management
  • Cultivates and maintains effective relationships with key executives and industry members while working with the Paramount publicity and marketing staff as appropriate
  • Ensures the highest levels of quality, thoughtfulness, and professionalism in all verbal and written communication

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years experience in event planning
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, affinity for networking and demonstrated high level of confidence and poise when in front of others, with a strong customer-service orientation
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational skills, including strong problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
