Overview and Responsibilities

The Coordinator Visual FX is responsible for project coordination, management and overall support of Physical Production with special emphasis on the Visual Effects Department.


Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

  • Read and create a first draft Visual Effects (VFX) shot list for all projects
  • Update VFX vendor contracts with business points and track status
  • Draft first pass of crew deal memos
  • Liaise with Marketing to track applicable costs and change orders
  • Coordinate vendor and crew credits with credit department
  • Manage Relationships with VFX Vendors
  • Maintain database and reel library of all VFX vendors and crew
  • Track availability of VFX talent worldwide
  • Update and maintain all VFX templates for various tasks
  • Perform other related duties are assigned


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience
  • Capability to read, understand financial plans and budgets
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in Visual Effects Production environment
  • Strong PC skills
  • Superior skill set in problem-solving, time-management, multi-tasking, and operating in a deadline-driven environment. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Able to coordinate distribution effort
  • Able to maintain up-to-date and accurate files
  • Able to create and revise reports on personal computer system
  • Ability to flex both work and communication style in order to transition fluidly between working independently and leveraging team assets.

  • Great communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to effectively handle multiple projects and responsibilities under pressure with minimal supervision is essential
  • The ability to work flexible hours is necessary
