Overview and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the television legal department by administering to and maintaining the television legal file system, and by processing the daily work flow of legal materials, providing copying, clerical, administrative and light research support to the department.


Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:


  • Manages department copy machines
  • Provides copy assistance to staff and external personnel
  • Orders department supplies
  • Distributes inter-office mail/copies/faxes/fed-ex
  • Interacts with and supports business affairs and attorney staff(s)
  • Processes daily work flow of legal department: sorts, scans and files legal materials into both digital and physical file systems
  • Creates file records - Data entry – Word, Excel, database and Prodagio document management systems
  • Ad Hoc scanning - Adobe document manipulation
  • Assembles physical files – Tabquick labeling and end tabs
  • Handles large and often sensitive copy jobs (i.e. litigation, chain-of-title production, etc.)
  • Provides light research as needed
  • Assists with space management and organization projects as needed
  • Special projects as assigned


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years clerical experience in entertainment industry of legal background
  • Proficiency with Word; Excel; Adobe; database systems; internet research; light phones; copiers
