Overview and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the administration of 10+ security systems in the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC); collecting, analyzing and preparing intelligence briefings; monitoring Paramount operations for threats/risks that could impact operations and responding to those threats using various security systems and work flows; and providing oversight to staff (security dispatchers and analysts) during emergency situations. 


Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

*Provides lead technical support for all security systems used on a daily basis (PSIM, Access control, VMS, intrusion, fire, etc.) – 25%

*Takes the lead role in the GSOC during emergency situations to ensure the GSOC supports the incident in an effective and efficient manner – 25%

*Designs, develops and implements GSOC training and expansion programs – 10%

*Creates/revises GSOC procedural manuals – 5%

*Assists in the development of incident response workflows and business rules contained in Paramount’s Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) solution – 5%

*Responds to various global incident alerts/threats, quickly assesses conditions and situations based on system information; makes notification decisions based on Paramount incident response workflows, activates and coordinates emergency response procedures, and maintains situational information and status of incident response actions – 50%

*Supports GSOC operators (dispatchers and analysts) in performing their routine dispatching functions, as needed – 5%

*Collect, analyze and prepare various intelligence briefings, including but not limited to, daily briefs, travel briefs, white papers on emerging threats, etc – 25%

*Identifies and implements methods for tracking threats/risks to Paramount operations - 5%

Basic Qualifications

*Bachelor’s degree required. Degrees in International Relations, Computer Science, Political Science, Emergency Management preferred

*Minimum 3 years experience with security systems

*Experience writing technical business policies, procedures and reports

Additional Qualifications

Desired skills:

*Master's Degree is desired, but not required

*Broad knowledge of Security Operation Center policies and procedures

*Ability to analyze and quickly react to emergency situations while maintaining composure and professionalism

*Proofreading and editing skills and be detail oriented

*Proficient in MS Office, including Word and Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other related applications

*High-level organizational and planning skills so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately; must be able to set priorities, take initiative and exercise sound independent judgment

*Comfortable working under pressure and tight deadlines

*Capable of working independently without extensive direction or oversight

*Creative, strategic thinker dedicated to quality service

*Excellent oral and written skills and an ability to effectively communicate ideas in a clear, concise, and professional manner

*Must be willing to work weekends and holidays, as needed
